According to Dr. Mark Gostine, co-founder of Michigan Pain Consultants, chronic pain and depression go hand in hand, which is why 40 to 50 percent of his practice’s patients are on anti-depressants. Michigan Pain Consultants provides intravenous treatments for depression, and recently signed on to be part of an FDA trial for an oral ketamine drug developed by Naurex, who was recently purchased by Allegan Pharmaceutical.
