Austin Marcolina, DO

Austin Marcolina, DO is trained and experienced in the latest interventional pain management techniques. He is a full-time pain management physician with Michigan Pain Consultants. Originally from the Chicagoland area, Dr. Marcolina received his Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology at the University of Iowa. He subsequently returned to the Chicagoland area and earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Midwestern University - Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. Following medical school, Dr. Marcolina completed a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX, where he served as the inaugural Research and Development Chief Resident and was elected the Senior Resident of the Year. Following his residency, Dr. Marcolina completed his Interventional Pain Medicine Fellowship at the University of California Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, CA, where he was awarded the Gary Collins Memorial Teaching Fellow of the Year, due to his commitment to education and excellent patient care.

While Dr. Marcolina is adept in managing many forms of pain, he has specific clinical interests in comprehensive spine and musculoskeletal care, including regenerative medicine/orthobiologics, neuromodulation, and minimally invasive interventions. His philosophy is to provide individualized and comprehensive treatment plans for each patient to optimize their overall health and function.
